Sample policy
This sample notice explains the information topics the owner of a website may need to address. It is not a statement about a verified UPSHIFT business or a configured data service.
A contact form may collect your name, work email, company and the project information you enter. The live site owner should describe the fields collected, the purpose of collection and the recipient of each submission.
Hosting, security, analytics or other website services may process technical information when a page is used. The live site owner should identify the tools in use and explain any cookie or consent choices that apply.
The live policy should describe the purposes for processing personal information. These may include responding to enquiries, delivering agreed services or maintaining the website, depending on the business’s actual practices.
Identify the service providers that receive or process information, where applicable, and explain relevant storage and retention practices. Do not publish this sample as confirmation that a particular provider, transfer or retention period has been assessed.
Explain how visitors can make a privacy request or change relevant preferences. State the rights and procedures that apply to the live site’s business and users, with appropriate review for the jurisdictions involved.
Replace the example contact address with the person or team responsible for privacy enquiries. Example address: hello@upshift.example.
